Heading north to Tanjung Bunga which is full of traces of history the Portuguese traders firstly docked to begin their trading activities in Flores. On this place the Portuguese also firstly named the “Cabo da Flora” from where the name Flores comes from. Besides Catholic tradition the Lamaholot Tribe is still strongly hold on the local culture and tradition and local genius from their ancestors.
You can observe it at the Lamaholot tribal community in Lewokluok. The Lamaholot tribe live in a traditional community and practice their culture and traditions. They are maintaining their weaving traditions with their distinctive colors and specific motifs.
